We’re encouraging Swansea walkers to paint the town pink and blue next month, with a 4.5 mile sponsored walk across Swansea bay.

Our Pink-a-Blue Walk will start at Verdi’s ice cream parlour in Mumbles, on Sunday 8th June, taking in Black Pill Lido, with stunning views of Swansea Bay.

Walkers are encouraged to wear blue, to represent our research into prostate cancer, or pink to represent breast cancer, to show their support. The money raised will help to fund these cancer research projects in Wales, including Singleton hospital.

The Wave radio station will also be promoting the event, and will be broadcasting live on the day.

Laura Priddle, the charity’s fundraising manager said “It’s a great event, the atmosphere and energy really puts the fun into fundraising.”

It’s open to anyone and everyone, so go that little further and set up an online sponsor form on Just Giving: http://www.justgiving.com/crw/raisemoney/ To enter, and purchase a t-shirt, visit http://www.cancerresearchwales.co.uk/crw_events/pink-a-blue-walk-swansea/.
